TESTIMONIAL
Claire is a fantastic, knowledgeable professional. Her communication and support is unmatched and we are already very impressed and pleased by the progress our anxious dog has made in a matter of weeks.
la has come on leaps and bounds and is much calmer and settled in a variety of situations. Clare has been fantastic and I would recommend her to anyone who needs help with their dog."
We knew from the minute we met Clare we had made the right choice, she has supported us with Riley every step of the way. 5 stars just aren't enough for the lovely Clare!
Claire has excellent experience with training dogs… a couple of sessions really made a difference with my puppy, would definitely recommend.
We definitely give Clare 5 stars! For us we feel she has really gone above and beyond with our Woody. Without Clare we would have been out of our depth. She is extremely accessible, her communication is excellent!
We have been working with Clare with our 2nd puppy now and she has once again gone above and beyond with support and guidance. We had a bringing your puppy home session and a short one to one before joining the 6 week puppy school which was amazing.
We highly recommend training with Clare. Her classes are enjoyable for both dogs and owners and it is a really relaxed, comfortable environment for everyone to learn in. Our Golden Retriever Elsie has benefited so much from attending, and she absolutely adores Clare!

We have just completed our 2nd round of puppy training classes with our new pup, Dudley and he is thriving. Adolescence classes starting soon and we can’t wait. Having trained George previously with Clare, I would t use anyone else and can highly recommend. George is a very chilled, well behaved cockapoo who embraces learning which is good as so do we. We wanted our George to be part of the family and be able to go anywhere which he can. Lots of lovely comments from strangers about his calmness. Really cant recommend Clare enough from her knowledge and experience through to her always putting the dogs welfare first.Posted on Google Joyce LinehanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Where to begin? Okay so I’ve now been with Good Choice Dog Training for BOTH the 121 training AND puppy classes for around two months now and wanted to wait until we could see the progress made to provide an honest and fully rounded review. I have also signed up for the adolescent classes in September as I feel with everything so far that it would be hugely beneficial to keep the training going. My true opinion is that Clare at GCDT has been the biggest reason we have the dog that we have. My Marty is a long haired mini dachshund and prior and alongside Clare I have been using a Dachshund specific training app that has been very helpful but doesn’t quite capture the benefits of a 121 and in person training does which is why I engaged with Clare. Clare has been there every step of the way providing constant support. She is very hands-on and available to nip any behavioural issues in the bud before they occur. And let’s face it; most of the issues occurring are down to me and my lack of knowledge. It’s super helpful to have someone who can point you in the right direction immediately and prior to issues occurring. It’s far easier to do it correctly in the first place than to try and correct issues once they’ve occurred. So Marty, whom we enrolled on week 1 of having him is an example of what doing it right in the first place looks like. He is an incredibly calm and confident puppy who doesn’t really bark often (unheard of for a dachshund). He already has excellent recall, can walk on lead without pulling, does an emergency stop and learned this after a couple of repetitions etc An example of where Clare really excels is in both the separation anxiety training and the reactivity training. Because Marty is so confident he was actually the opposite of fearful and was showing signs of being positively reactive and wanting to meet every dog and person he saw.. already after one session with Clare where I explained he was doing this; she brought her own dog along for one of our sessions and got Marty to learn how to disengage whilst on a walk.. where I was worried he would get worse he has already become much calmer on walks and isn’t pulling to meet every single dog or runner anymore. When I first met Clare; I was worried I would never be able to leave Marty, he would whine the second I stood up and tried to leave the room. He refused to sleep in his crate and would freak out to the point I was worried he would break his teeth on the bars. He couldn’t be left alone for very long, not even for me to go to the toilet without panicking. Now, he sleeps through the night in his crate and we’ve managed to leave him home alone for 3 hours without stress or him whining. This is truly thanks to Clare working alongside me to make him comfortable when alone and doing “door is a bore training”. When I think back to those first few sleepless weeks it’s almost like a fever dream.. I cannot believe the puppy we have now. That’s just a couple of things that have vastly improved and Marty is now 4 months old and we are very much looking forward to adolescent training and keeping the positives going.. so what initially started out as a puppy blues emergency has evolved to be a “let’s see where we can take this” and I really look forward to the next stages safe in the knowledge that Clare will be there every step of the way. I cannot recommend her enough and encourage anyone who is struggling with their puppy or even wants to start as they mean to go on to do this training, you will not regret it!Posted on Google Zoe BerryTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We would highly recommend Clare and looking forward to moving onto the adolescent classes & possibly 1-2-1’s in the future!Posted on Google Molly FroggattTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Clare was absolutely fantastic! She has so much online material to share so that you don’t forget the points covered in each session. Margot really enjoyed her training, each session was focused on a different aspect I wanted to improve in Margot’s walking and walks have been so pleasurable since! I feel I got a lot out of our sessions too by learning how best to get Margot to respond to me and ensure that our walks became enjoyable rather than feeling like a chore. I would recommend Clare to anyone to needs any help or support with dog walking or training, and would go back to her for any help in the future. Thank you once again 😊Posted on Google Gail FultonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Clare is an amazing trainer and Rosie has come on so much under her guidance. Would not hesitate to recommend her if you are looking to start training your puppy or older dog.Posted on Google Dan SleatTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We worked with Claire to help with our 4-year-old dog, who had become quite reactive to other dogs. It had got to the point where walks were more stressful than enjoyable and, if we’re honest, we were starting to avoid them. Claire was brilliant at helping us understand what was actually going on and gave us practical techniques we could use straight away. Just as importantly, she helped build our confidence as owners. She was very patient with both us and the dog, and explained things in a really clear, realistic way. He’s not suddenly a perfect dog, but that was never the promise. What’s changed is that we now have the tools to manage situations and enjoy our walks again. It genuinely feels like we’ve reconnected with him, which is exactly what we were hoping for. Would definitely recommend Claire to anyone dealing with a reactive dog.
